Account administration

Account Administration allows a company administrator to manage the company’s profile and users as well as the custom metadata attributes that can be added to files stored in Trimble Connect.

Access Account Administration by clicking the profile menu button . A user without a company administrator role does not see this option in the profile menu.

Manage company domains

The Account Administration tool allows a company administrator to manage company information.

On the Company page you can update company details:

  • Name

  • Website

Manage company users

On the Users page, the account administrator can add or invite other Trimble Connect users to the company.

Invite users

Note:

Inviting a user adds them to the company users, but does not assign them a license for Trimble Connect. To manage lisences, use Tekla Online Admin tool.

  1. Go to the Users page.

  2. Click the Invite users button at the top of the page.

    The Invite users dialog box opens.

  3. Type in the email address to the User email box.

    Note:

    You can enter multiple email addresses. Use semicolon (;) or comma (,) as a separator.

  4. Click Submit.

Edit user role

  1. Go to the Users page.

  2. Select the user whose user role you want to modify.

  3. Click the Edit User Access button at the top of the page.

    The Edit User Access dialog box opens.

  4. Selec the user role from the list.

  5. Click Submit.

Remove users

  1. Go to the Users page.

  2. Select the user on the list.

  3. Click the Remove user button from the top of the page.

    The Remove user dialog box opens.

  4. Click Submit.

Metadata templates

On the Metadata templates page, the company administrator can create custom properties for the files in the project.

Create a new template

  1. Go to the Metadata templates page.

  2. Click the New button.

  3. Type in the Template name.

  4. Drag the Property types that you want to use as metadata to Custom properties.

  5. Add a Title that will appear in the Details pane for the files stored in Trimble Connect.

  6. Add the default values which will automatically be used for files until a user changes them.

  7. To use the template, click the Publish button.

    To save your progress, click the Save button.

Metadata template library

The created metadata template is in the Metadata template library.

Select a published template to use it in the project.
