Create and track tasks with ToDos

Use ToDos to assign, track and resolve issues within a project. ToDos can be assigned to a user or a group with a due date when the ToDo needs to be resolved.

Create a ToDo in the 3D App

  1. Open a model in the 3D App.
  2. When you have found an issue in the model, click the Add ToDo button on the toolbar.

    The New ToDo dialog box opens.

  3. Enter the needed information, such as the Description, Priority, and Due Date.
  4. Assign the ToDo to a user or to a user group.
  5. Click Save.

Create a ToDo in Trimble Connect for Browser

  1. In Trimble Connect for Browser, go to the ToDo page.
  2. Click the Add ToDo button at the top of the page.

    The New ToDo dialog box opens.

  3. Enter the needed information, such as the Desciption, Priority, and Due Date.
  4. Assign the ToDo to a user or to a user group.
  5. Click Submit.
    Note: The created ToDo does not have a model associated with it. You can later add the model.

Filter ToDos

In Trimble Connect for Browser on the ToDo page you can filter ToDos by:

  • Type

  • Status

  • Priority

  • Users

  • Groups

  • Date modified

In the 3D App on the list of ToDos you can change filter by:
  • All ToDos in project

  • Assigned to me

View properties and comment on a ToDo

  1. In Trimble Connect for Browser, go to the ToDo page.
  2. Select a ToDo.

    The Details pane opens on the right side.

    • View the properties of the selected ToDo on the Information tab.
    • View the revisions of the selected ToDo on the Activity tab.
    • Post comments to the selected ToDo on the Comments tab.

Attach files to a ToDo

  1. In Trimble Connect for Browser, go to the Explorer page.
  2. Select a file.
  3. Click the More button and select Add Files to ToDo.

    The Add Files to ToDo dialog box opens.

  4. Create a new ToDo or select an existing ToDo.
  5. Enter the needed information.
  6. Click Submit.

Add views to a ToDo

  1. In Trimble Connect for Browser, go to the Views page.
  2. Select a view.
  3. Click the More button and select Add Views to Todo.

    The Add Views to ToDo dialog box opens.

  4. Create a new ToDo or select an existing ToDo.
  5. Enter the needed information.
  6. Click Submit.

Download ToDo attachments

  1. Go to the ToDo page.
  2. Select a ToDo.

    The Details pane opens on the right side.

  3. On the Details pane, click the More button on the attachment.
  4. Select Download.

    The file is downloaded automatically.

Privacy

ToDos can be made private to the author or public to all users in the project. By default, ToDos are visible for all users in the project.
